Léon Wuidar was born in Liège on August 18, 1938. He tackled oil painting as an autodidact from 1955. Drawing teacher in normal education, he was then in charge of the graphic art course at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. -Arts de Liège, from 1976 to 1998. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium. His paintings juxtapose squares, rectangles, polygons, and curves often surrounded by a double border of color.
